A Conversation With a BigotEmail Exchange May 31, 1996Background: This message was part of a discussion of homophobia. My opponent had made the claim that homosexuality is "unnatural". I pointed out that by definition no act can be "unnatural" if it is found anywhere in nature. I further pointed out that homosexual behavior has been observed in apes, lions, dogs and cats, among others. He responded, "You compare men with animals, how pathetic." This was my answer:
